Our podcast ‘It’s Complicated’ is back for Series Seven

Our digital detox podcast is now in its third year and its seventh season, and has returned after a bit of a break (while host – and founder of Time To Log Off – Tanya Goodin was launching her latest book) with a fantastic line-up of guests to help you untangle your relationship with tech.

Untangling our relationship with tech

On the podcast Tanya talks to people from all walks of life about their complicated relationship with tech and the digital world and asks them for help and advice on how we can all get a better balance.

Sometimes the guests are those who are completely immersed in the digital world like tech founders Craigslist’s Craig Newmark; Hinge’s Justin Macleod and Baroness Martha Lane Fox. At other times we chat to people from outside the tech world who have a unique perspective on it such as author Cal Newport; economist Tim Harford; TV presenter Ben Fogle; sports commentator Andrew Cotter (with his dogs Olive and Mabel); Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and ex UK Labour Party Deputy Head Tom Watson. We also talk to celebrities and sportspeople such as The Vamps lead singer James McVey, footballer John Barnes, ex-Love islander Dr Alex George and three-times Olympic Gold medal rower Pete Reed.

The podcast was named by the London Standard in 2020 as one of the Best Tech Podcasts globally, as well as featuring in the You Magazine (from Mail Online) feature ‘59 of the best podcasts to download and listen to now.’

The launch of Series Seven

Series Seven has launched with a chat with former BBC Technology Correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones talking about the ringside seat he’s had at the smartphone revolution and the perspective that’s given him now on the state of the digital world. He talks about the tech titans who inspired him and those who gave him a feeling of unease – and “the nice side of social media” when UK Twitter helped find his dog-knapped dog in lockdown London.
